Community Gift Giving
In mid-July National Bank of Middlebury began offering two new free checking accounts that give back to the community. When a customer opens a Hometown Advantage or Small Business Advantage Plus checking account a $25 gift is generated to a community program. The first program beneficiary has been local libraries in Middlebury, Bristol, Brandon, Vergennes and Hinesburg. The library gift-giving program ended October 31 with monetary gifts totaling over $3775. Beginning November 1, the recipients of the $25 donation for each account opened will be local food shelves. This free checking account benefits both customers and local community organizations. Details of account benefits can be found under our News & Info section on the website's opening page. More Info
